Lost Emirates ID in UAE?
If you have lost your Emirates ID card, or it has been stolen, you need to request a replacement of your emirates id card. Follow the steps below to get your Emirates ID card replaced:
1. Report the incident
If you have lost your emirates id or suspect it has been stolen, you need to visit your nearest ICA Customer Happiness Centre and report the incident to immediately deactivate your emirates id. You will also have to bring in your identification documents to prove your identity. Below are the valid documents you can take with you to prove your identity:
- UAE nationals can bring their passport and family book.
- GCC nationals must present a document to prove their residency.
- Expatriate residents have to bring their passports with a valid residency permit.
2. Apply for Replacement
After reporting the incident, you can apply for emirates id replacement through ICA Customer Happiness Centres or using the ICA website.
3. Pay the fees
Applicants have to pay a fee of AED 300 for the replacement of Emirates id. In Addition to AED 300, you will have to pay application fees of AED 70 if you are applying through the typing centers, or AED 40 if you are applying through the ICA website.
If you are in a hurry and are looking for an express replacement of your emirates id then you can get the express ID replacement at ICA Customer Happiness Centre at AED 150 extra.
4. Collect your new ID Card
ID Cards are issued within 48 hours from the submission of your replacement application. In case of express id replacement, you will get your id card within 24 hours.
